Have driven 3 different cars and have never thought of the gear linkage in any of them, I know I would have done if they were as you are describing, so I suspect the only answer is to find another one to drive so that you have some sort of comparison. Presumably it doesn't have to be a trophy...

HI, prob shouldn't get involved in this thread as the "suspension modified car" was mine, but I thought I'd just put a note in even though Steve is now selling it. I bought it with 10,300 (ish) miles on it and always planned to use it to drive to a track, to learn the track before going there...

Got the Golf now, have to admit it's pretty good! Has literally everything from the options list except Privacy Glass, the guy who bought it new went beserk with the options list. In case any was wondering the DSG box is excellent! Btw the Trophy is off to Steve at Allvehicles soon, so...

Sounds like the "GO" department is all sorted, time for some "STOP" attention now! DS2500's in my road car (not tracked the car yet so only road use), and they are fine. No probs hot or cold. Can't report on their track performance thou.
