Just wondered if anyone has experienced a Performance box or Driftbox (from VBOX).

They are a GPS device which tells you current speed, acceleration/braking times, laptimes etc. I fancy buying one but it's a bit pricey really. I imagine they would be good for measuring performance improvements after mods. ie, 30-70mph times or lap times.

Luke.

Yeah, I agree. I'm tempted because I could use it on bike trackdays too where I think it would be more useful. You rarely get time to check your speed while on track so it can be difficult to tell when something is an improvement.

most trackdays won't allow these, if they see one they'll ask you to leave as timing equipment invalidates their insurance... if anyone has a major off you they could be landed with a seven figure bill.

I have one and love it,

as for track days they are banned, you cannot time a lap at a track day btw it invalidates there insurance
