Hello all, I'm a new user and I am looking to buy a Trophy. I'd like your thoughts on number 45;

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4167864.htm

I realise it is advertised at a high price but Trophies do seem to variably priced and as this is a low mileage example, I thought this may be acceptable.

I'd also like your hear what questions you would be asking if you where buying this car.

Thanks. Andrew.

as with most "specialist" traders these days it seems like they dont really know what they have. History is everything...cam belt change, dampers serviced etc...
price is "top wack" but for that you need to be able to back it all up - you need to check the paperwork, ask the dealer questions / contact the last seller / see the service book.
is you want a daily driver this isnt the trophy for you unless you want to see it depreciate before your eyes.

As above. Put a price on low mileage! There is no set equation or pricing! Could you not buy a 36k car for well under £6k? If you plan to do little miles yourself, have the funds and the car is a great example then go for it. If you plan on driving it a lot, then I'd buy slightly higher miles, with cam belt service etc. But as a starting point for an immaculate example 'garage queen' this may be the one! You'll only know by having a look. Good luck.
