Heat shield part numbers

Hi All,

does anyone have a list of heat shield part numbers? Mick tells me I’m missing one from the engine bay but we can’t locate the part ID. If there’s an exploded drawing that would be helpful.

Alternatively, might be worth an ask on the Cliosport.net forum, someone will possibly have access to the schematic diagrams to locate the relevant part number. @MarcB is helpful with this kind of thing I’ve found. Good luck!

Thankyou Marc, it is number 6….any idea what you’d describe that part as? I’ll give the breakers and eBay a try. As the gearbox is out for the rebuild it makes sense to get it fitted if possible

In the sellers eBay description it only lists this as for Laguna's and Megane's.

I wonder if it might be worth you contacting BTT Motorsport, they sometimes have this sort of thing in their stock:

Im sure item number 6 is more a large silver heat shield sticker / type pad.

I will try and get a picture tomorrow for you but as its now NLA the part number is not listed.

Ok perhaps not that one! It appears to be there although missing a plastic button clip.

Mick said it’s the heat shield that has 2 bolts into the sub frame, it apparently tends to bend with time and heat!

I’ll try and get a photo today of the subframe where it used to connect to.

The problem is as it’s not had it since I’ve owned it it’s hard to describe and identify what’s not there!

I think I’ve the carpet and fabric heat shield(minus a plastic push fit fastener(need one of those!)

I will check tomorrow but I think it’s the heat shield at the bottom of the first image as that looks like it connects into the sub frame

The RRP from Renault is. - £110+vat

Not available in UK Stock and it needs to come from France

Its also only fitted to the SMI steering rack and not the TRW rack.

I know that mine is 100% a SMI Rack
Im guessing all Trophys are and if that's the case its the above that you need.

All 182 & 172`s have SMI power racks.

Engine Dynamics only sell the firewall shield.

I think the rack heat shield in their website picture has been fabricated from this material or similar.

Funnily enough, the same thought had occurred to me earlier today. I've put it on my Trophy jobs list.
