Cripes! Surprised to see that going over the block Nick!

Wonder what the back story is...

After owning 3 of these 182 cars which luckily have all been corrosion free other than the usual surface stuff I would be concerned with the area around the fuel filler cap on this car.

I'll be honest, I didn't think that looked too bad, I've see ALOT worse...

I agree Ed. Also that area from the filler down to the wheel arch is a problem on these cars.
If it’s a 3k 182 for fun it’s not that important.
The Trophy attracts fussy sods like us who are willing to pay silly money for these cars.
I’m just pointing out there could potentially be a significant bill to rectify that area.

Very true. :)

I think the majority of them are going to need attention in that area sooner or later (even the 'barn find' low mileage stuff...), so anyone buying one of these cars to keep for more than 5 minutes probably needs to put it in the notional budget for routine ongoing upkeep. I know I'll be having the rear three quarters of #407 done at some stage in the future, but not for the next couple of years because I'm keen to get some moneys worth out of actually driving the thing rather than showering it in £50 notes! :D (...though I'm now very interested in what £50 gets you in Carlisle 🤣)

Come on then Chaps tell me what you think it’s worth - I know none of you have had the pleasure of seeing it so I’ll give you my opinion -

Paintwork is in really good order with in my view only the bonnet needing painting along with some plastic bits - door handles - roof rails etc.

Genuine front splitter with very little damage

Wheels in good condition -
Interior is in very good order and needing nothing apart from the interior strips putting back to standard along with the steering wheel and gear knob

Fronts struts are there however I’ve no idea when they were last done - I’m sure the history file would have the evidence - the file is brimming with receipts in date order -

7 owners

Give me your views Guys as I can buy it ???

I was thinking me and you Ed - if it was as cheap as No63 was I would have paid and gone.

I was told it was a show car 🚗 so I had to dash across - it is nice viewing others which then makes me smile as to how far I’ve come with mine, overboard comes to mine but that was what I wanted.

I’ll put everyone out of there misery - they had a trade bid of £8550 plus the fees however the vendor is wanting 9k which will then check out at over £9500.

It is a very straight car thought and will make a lovely one with a little more time and money.

That is a really nice looking car Nick, you seem to be giving it the thumbs up
which considering the work you've put into your own car, is a good enough sign.

I obviously don't know the backstory of the car/owner, but it must be a bit unusual for
a car like this to be sold using this method?

Hopefully it goes to a good home.
