Has anyone figured out a way to bring the standard steering wheel closer to them.
I'm thinking of trying to get a spacer made up to go bring the wheel closer to the driver. Is there anyone who has had there wheel off who would know if this is possible.
Cheers

P.S I apologize if I don't ever reply, for some reason every reply I have ever tried to post on this computer doesn't work.

i've had the wheel off and there's only a small amount of thread on the steering column to fit the standard nut to, any spacer will render it impossible to re-attach the wheel. I don't think it would be an easy task!

Marrow, how much is that leg shortening operation.
So it sounds like the only way is to replace the steering wheel, which means no airbag.
Would be nice to leave the car fairly standard.

If you fit an aftermarket wheel and boss to get it closer to you,

you may find it nearly impossible to indicate without taking your hand off the wheel.:(

I had this trouble with a nissan pulsar GTiR its a right pain for everyday driving.

Best mod on the clio is to ditch the standard wheel and get a smaller one with a boss! ;)
