Replacement head unit

Hi All

I've just bought number 477 and had it a couple of weeks now. I'm thinking of upgrading the head unit for something more up to date.

Has anyone replaced theirs with a flip out? I'm wondering if it being positioned close to the gear lever will be a problem.

I'd like something possibly with Navi built in and with phone connectivity to stream music/take calls. Ideally like to keep the use of the steering column control too.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

mine came with a flip out fitted by the last owner, its fine, the headunit sticks out a bit more than a normal one would, but does not get in the way

I use an Alpine CDA-117ri, which is superb. Also managed to get hold of a used Alpine adapter to retain both stalk & display functionality. Very happy with the package as a whole!
