I use the Fuchs Titan supersyn which is currently on offer at opie. 5w40 fully syn is correct for the 182. And I also get a genuine filter and a new sump plug washer.

Ime 5l is just enough, then I have a top up bottle to keep in the garage or in the car on long journeys but have rarely used it.

I just ordered my oil today infact, to hopefully do a service this or next weekend!

Also using Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40, bought 12 litres when it was last on special from opie with free delivery, worked out to about £38 for a 5 litre bottle = bargain!

Also opt for a genuine plug and washer as theyre only about £10 from Renault.

Easy enough job to do just pop the fuel rail cover off to get to the filter easily.

Motul 300V Power 5W-40 if you want the very best but expensive at £105 for 6 litres!

I use their Crono in the 5 GT Turbo, comes in "proper" tin cans though fortunately the sump is smaller. Fuchs Titan 5-40 in the T.

Any fully syth 5w/40 oil that meets ACEA A3/A4, be it Ester/PAO or hydrocracked oil. I've used Halfords fully syth 5/40, shell helix, mobil 1, Elf oils and the car is fit as a fiddle. I don't see the point in spending good money on expensive ester/pao syth oils, you won't notice any difference, just stick to factory recommendations IMO.

Personally i have changed my oil and filter every 6K since new, some may say its overkill but good lubrication leads to a healthy long lived engine.

I use Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W40, goes in the Trophy & the 330i so i can buy in bulk from Opie.

Trophy gets changed every 6-8k. Only £34 for 5L so i normally get 20-25L each order.

I use Fuchs Titan pro 5w40. Never had a problem with it and for the money it's pretty good.

Mine drinks the stuff so keep a hoard of 5W40 in the shed (and carry top up pack).

Only ever use Elf fully synthetic.
