My temperature gauge seems to be playing up...

I've owned the car for 3 weeks and the temp gauge never reaches halfway (as I have read it should once warm).

It seems to fluctuate just below halfway and 1/4. Also the rev limiter is kicking in at 6800rpm rather than 7200rpm.

My plan is to change the temp sensor as this seems to be a common fail point. Are either of these the part that I am after?

Mine wasn't coming up to temperature little while ago. Reason was the thermostat internal seal wasn't allowing the stat to close.

Sounds like yours is a temp. Sensor fault. Unsure if ones you've linked are ok but tbh I'd try to get a genuine Renault one, they're not much more expensive if at all.

It's easy job to replace just need the airbox out and be quick and you won't loose much coolant at all.

There was a Renault mod on the wiring plug to this sensor for inaccurate reading i think.

But as said get a genuine one and ask while your there about the mod.
