Hi people,

007's cat has collapsed internally and is preventing it from running, anyone know where i can get either A) an OEM cat for less than the £1,040+VAT (!!) that Renault are asking, or B) a place that does decent sports cats that will fit the OEM exhaust.

K-Tec are out for the time being and i need my car back!

Thanks folks

I have found a Janspeed sports cat on venommotorsport.com for only £220, though this seems a little cheap?
Also not 100% if this will fit onto a factory exhaust.

Any help appreciated

Maybe try a scrap yard for a used one if money is tight?

no mate money isnt an issue, just more the time it is taking to get one of these things.

Found a few places that do Janspeed/Scorpion etc but taking weeks to come!

I had the same problem when my cat collapsed and I bought this from here to fit my OEM exhaust:

It works fine (had it fitted for about a year) but apparently they had to get it really hot so that it would pass the emissions when it had its MOT. It went through in the end and I was told this was quite common when a sports cat was fitted.

My car had the same problem with the standard exhaust system and cat and I froze my ass off last January waiting for it to pass.

Thanks for the info guys. Did you notice any difference in performance with the sports cat fitted to an OEM exhaust? People have been telling me not to bother getting a sports cat cos it'll lose a load of torque, but surely it cant lose that much?!

cheers, dan
