I use the Fuchs Titan supersyn which is currently on offer at opie. 5w40 fully syn is correct for the 182. And I also get a genuine filter and a new sump plug washer. Ime 5l is just enough, then I have a top up bottle to keep in the garage or in the car on long journeys but have rarely used it...

Nice to see the loyal subscribers, who pretty much stopped the magazine from going under during the takeover, are getting the same rewards as the occasional shop goers. Oh, wait......

I've also gone for polarised, only picture I have to hand: Massive improvement imo.

For a similar price to the sachs rears you might also consider the Koni rears instead. Thats the route I went down when one of mine went, tightens up the rear end and gives you some adjustment.

Price is probably just for the belt change, at a dealers it could easily total that. Did any other clios run? Chances are the RR over reads, for a true value you need to be running alongside other clios or go to RST/TDF who have a give more realistic RR figure.

Alright Ian, Saw the Trophy today for the first time in a while, nice sticker ;) Might be better posting over on cliosport, it's busier on there and you're more likely to get a reply :) Did you change the fluid at the same time? Or at least run a bit of new stuff through to the rear...

Mine are mint, (and the car is for sale on here ;)) My last clio had the recaros in out of a trophy, and they had done a lot of miles and were also excellent, although had a slight problem with the stitching coming undone on one side.

Someone once told me to pull the belt all the way out, trap it in the door, and pressure wash it. Never tried it, presume you'd have to put a towel between the belt and bodywork to protect the paint. And needs to be done on a sunny day obviously, so they dry.
