I have a set of these Eibach springs from the Group Buy last year. For pick-up, I'm in Kent. Happy to arrange shipping though.
They are brand new, unused. Not looking to make money - after the same £150 they cost.
Why would it? Some of the parts are unobtainable, or replacement part nos. The value is in the Sachs dampers and the overall condition of the car.
For me it's no surprise original suspension goes missing, given the propensity for the Sachs dampers especially to leak. Remember when values were...
Yeah, wish I was mechanically minded enough to be able to do this! And also have a garage to do it in...
Wonderful. I would get so precious with the car if it looked like the final pictures though!
What other options are there?
I have - I believe - a custom job after what I assume the standard exhaust failing. It is quiet (too quiet for me) but more importantly doesn't fit nicely. I'd like something a bit sportier but build quality is an absolute priority for me.
If you can afford to keep the car, then I would be strong with the price. It may 'just' be a Clio, but look at any limited production car and they are always significantly more than the car they are based on.
Since I've had mine, a friend has bought one after experiencing mine on a track day...
How much should I expect to pay for a full rebuild at BG? Mine were done by Rik by the previous owner but lasted 1,000 miles before leaking so, to be honest, want to try someone else.
I have the Speedline aftermarket ones. Same anthracite but have writing around the rim which is quite annoying. The offset is only like 2mm different - makes you wonder why they did such a tiny variation.
I don't think it is outrageous, but for it to hold it's value then it needs to stay at that mileage.
A good benchmark is something like a Pug 205 GTI, which are north of £15k for low mileage ones. A very low mileage is for sale for more than £40k!
You are really relying on someone having a lot...
As I understand it, our Turinis are ET45, whereas the 172 Cup is ET38 - in effect giving the equivalent of a 7mm spacer to the latter.
So why did Renault choose to give the Trophy a narrower track?
So almost 10 years on.... are more people running LSDs?
My car has done 115k miles. I don't know the gearbox's history, but it feels great. But when the inevitable rebuild beckons, I really fancy adding the Quaife.
Mine was the #166 red Mustang with white stripes. I qualified on the front row, but managed to do a rolling burnout and lose a couple of places, before getting back into 2nd. Unfortunately, I got black flagged for some smoke, with the resulting pit stop ruining my race.
This may be a silly question, but some 'sports' seats these days give the impression they accommodate harnesses, but actually don't. Do the Trophy seats allow for proper harnesses and does anyone use a harness bar or cage in their Trophy?
Thanks!
