I was able to use the old nut with a new top mount without any issues. I'll try and get some photos in the next day or two for reference in this thread.
I think you need to get under the bonnet to take the bumper off... There are two plastic push clips on the black plastic that has the safety labels on.
Which part has broken exactly? Inside the car?
@Patrick Bateman the smaller end of the gaiter is secured on the rib of the bump stop/spring aid as a press fit. I.e. the top of the damper module.
The bottom larger end is free floating and does not appear (on mine at least) to attach to the damper at all.
We'd call these a dust tube rather...
I would stretch to the OEM parts.
I posted this elsewhere, but Febi Bilstein ARB rubber bushes on #167 had cracked extensively (and very brittle) due to UV damage after fewer than 5,000 miles.
I shower them to a Technical Specialist at work (he literally has a doctorate in rubber!) as well as...
Great photo, thanks!
I have the pukka Renault parts on their way (from France) as they're cheaper than an assortment.
I think the speed/clip/spire nut should hold, the clamp load is likely to be enough (crosses fingers).
I shall update this thread when I do it!
Cheers
I ordered and picked up my front left wheelarch liner from my local Renault dealer this week! No need to order from France (at least, not yet!)
I'll need to go over the flash lines with a stanley knife, but other than that, all looks good!
No problem at all! Thanks very much for taking a look.
I think I'll get the fixings anyway (I've discovered Partsouq), I reckon the clip/nut once fitted will work just fine, as it should clamp up.
The diagram seems to suggest (although it's not clear) that it is indeed a v shaped slot.
