It needed a front splitter aswell. When I asked the owner why it didn't have one he said I don't know I bought it like that. This plus the lack of damper rebuild plus an 8hr drive put me off! LoL
on goes the search might take a while!......
Hi guys, long time no speak.
Back on the hunt for a trophy for keeps after letting number 71 go back in 2008 when I bought my second v6 Clio. Sold the v6 in July last year when I picked up my brand new range rover (2 kids and the failing ability to change gear myself tempted me into land...
aye im one of the trophy's biggest advocates, they are in a league of their own compared to other cars like it,
trouble is paddy, as anyone will say you cant compare the trophy to a vee, even if it is the mk2 vee which is a LOT better than their first attempt. Having owned both types of vee...
been a while since ive looked on this site, been over on v6clio.net a lot having changed back to the vee last august. Seems the prices havent come down that much since i sold mine, some advertised at 6495, 6950 and instead of people spamming their threads to say 'thats too expensive' they are...
lol!!! i remember we went to the isle of man for a rally a few years ago when i had my old v6, my brother was so desperate for me to take it he was going to lie behind the seats cos there was 3 of us. Ended up taking his scooby instead!
i had this problem on my trophy and up to the day i sold it i couldnt cure it!! i changed gaskets, re-sealed the exhaust, fitted new clamps, nothing seemed to work. i just decided to put up with it and turn the tunes up when it annoyed me. I would be interested to hear how you get on with this!
technically you only have to change it at 36k or 5 years, i believe g40 steve did his to make his car more 'saleable'
personally i wouldnt bother, especially if your car hasnt lived a hard life. You will probably hit 36k before 5 years anyway so get it done then
