these guys can make struts to your requirements, so if you wanted to adjust the details (lengths, pressure etc) it can be done.

reading that quote from above (few posts up) are they really £500 from renault? WHAT?!
is that supposed to be £50 ? lol.

When I replaced mine with the ones from RS Components I spoke to Renault first who quoted me over £220 per strut.

ahh sgs are the company I use too as slap bang in the middle of Derby. I poped in with my old ones, they measured them tested them and went out of sight for 15 min as they were made !! Had no issues with them either

Full marks to SGS Engineering. The struts arrived the next working day, they were easy to fit and work a treat and all that for £12.63 each plus VAT plus postage.
No more getting whacked on the head by a wayward tailgate now!

As above, i bought mine from SGS and they are perfect and very cheap.

They work a treat and i would rather buy them than trying to fit Audi or BMW after market ones.

Atleast with SGS you know you are getting the correct ones.

£36.67 is a great price, are they always available? mine were really bad however seem to make more of an effort to hold the tailgate up as weather has warmed up slightly. On the list to buy with a few other bits.

Is this as far as the boot opens or do I also need some new ones?

Yeah, if it goes any higher you will damage the spoiler, look how close it is now, this is why you can not buy the cup ones and if your boot stays up they are fine, mine would slowly drop down, worse in cold weather
