Hi mate - I am interested in the seats for a Clio V6 - I was hoping for some standard trophy recaros to replace the rubbish standard affair. However if you can get me some pics of the seats I might have a pop at fitting them. Mines a late 255 V6 so they should be the same fittings as any late...
Hi David - I can't believe you have put my old car up for sale the week after I have just bought
one....missed my old trophy so much I went and bought one off here. Stick with it - thats a good
car you have there.....its just a waiting game. I have seen lots come up for sale and they all go...
Jeez that's a tough one...put it this way if you lined them all up and said "pick 3".....I would probably say,
Clio V6 255, Megane R26R and Clio trophy.
The V6 is a far better ride than the earlier 5 Turbo 2. But its a bit like saying Stirling Moss is better than Schumi....
they are from...
Dealer...well, in a way - but I work for BMW. I have been a seriel Renault buyer since
1989.....I just get bored easy....ask Art Dealer - he has sold me 2 cars in 6 months.
These are my Sunday toys...perhaps this one is for keeps as good trophy's are
getting hard to find.
For the record - 3...
:) ...he will. After selling no.250 2 years ago..he's back for more. It took 3 197s and a 200 to make me
realise that the Trophy is the daddy........... =D>
Thanks Guys - TBH the Cup is a great car if you only need/have 1 car.
For me the Trophy was hardcore, respected by those that know, and was more
connected to the tarmac on trackdays.
The cup I guess is too civilised - perhaps I should have waited for the R26R.
As I have a company car I can...
Guys - After leaving you all for a while (197 Cup via ph2 V6 - well at least they were
all Clios) ....I am back looking for an original trophy.
My own fault I know.....wait til Steve finds out.
I can only go as far as £7K. Must be as close to standard as poss with the right
tyres and preferably...
It is def Cat D repaired with full insurance pay out. Pretty sure that means that insurers wont pay out again
if it gets stolen or written off. I considered this car at £6750 but the guys are right that you wont pay much more
for a good one. Dont take the risk - the set up on this car is...
Ahhhh, I forgot to tell you. I went for this,,,,,,,
...And then I had this..........
.....But now I want another one of these.........
....Preferably before I have another one of these........
Looking for another Trophy - been away a while - lookin to get back into one ASAP/
Needs to be very clean and sensible mileage. Max £7500 - casg is burning a hole so be
quick to reply. Based in Surrey, call Tony on 07795 520269.
I think it is probably as quick as my old Trophy over 60, but it has no pull below 4000, and it does'nt get that second kick at 5500 anymore either. But the low gearing hides alot of the problem and it does seem to hang on even more in the bends, its just a bit more grown up and less...
Hi Matt - Yeh thought it was choice that you let me out of that juction - probably the only time I will ever be in front of you - OMG its so slow at the moment - tighter than a 16 year olds chuffer. Still only got 500 miles on it.
Funky M - the plate is 2 fold my good man. On the one hand...
..well seeing as I have put on a few Kilo's seemed like a good time to go for the Clio comfort mode. Spoke to the dealer about the lack of power and he said the engine will be arriving in 12000 miles, whatever that means.......
Looks fantastic - and surely has the best roads in the UK leading to it's doorstep. There has to be a trackday for us coming up at some point - how much fun would we all have - cannot wait.
Hey that was my car at just under £9K....and there's nowt wrong with it as Matt can testify. Fact is that my new Clio comes in september and the stealer offered me £6800 for it in PX....and I am in the trade!
I had to sell my car fast so priced it just below everyone else's - after...
personally I think the one on pistonheads for £9995 is a better bargain, its a 55 plate, done 21K and has a trophy private plate included in the price, it's in Croydon I think (uh-hmm).....
Hi Matt -dropped the clio off at Wimbledon as I was going to service it and sort the exhaust and chip out, but told them to hold fire as I might be about to make a rather silly purchase....it's still a Renault, but my lips are sealed for now....pics will be posted in due course.
Luke - It's a bit of a tool. I tried an M6 not long ago and was not impressed - but then that only had 600 miles on it, this one has done a bit and lets you have all 500 horses. It's proper mad - at first you think OK, its quite quick. then you look at the speedo and realise that you have just...
OK, so maybe I took advantage of my position at BMW, but it sure as hell takes the pain away whilst my baby is being fettled. Not sure if i will notice the power upgrades after 2 weeks with this though.... mind you I should be getting more than 11mpg....
The only trouble with being in the infield is that last year it took 3 hours to get out under the bridge to the maingate. And you can't leave early as the parade laps that you can join in on are right at the end....pain in the ass. Still I passed the time away by betting on whether the GTA Turbo...
Ahh yes....any suggestions for a tax disc holder as the nasty Lookers one is an issue.
The kit is in 2 parts - the dealer fit part is basically a clay bar, cleanser, activator and final wax....which has to be applied by hand and is quite sexually gratifying to apply - although yet again the...
Talk to me if you want to sound a car out....pretty good with 911's. Incidently I started at Cooper BMW this week and got a Z4M Coupe as my company car - I feel like Wild E Coyote in a Roadrunner cartoon, picture a skatebaord propelled by a jet engine and you get the picture.....sure you can...
Managed to somehow drop a Zymol kit into my belongings when I left my job at Porsche last week.....so spent today applying it. Nice results I think, although God knows how a 911 buyer can pay £499 for it......total outlay today, Nish...hehe.
YIKES.....Good luck Xuthos....we all knew it was the cheapest car out there...but all those trackdays it has been used for must have taken it's toll.....most on here avoided it but I guess you have a lot of faith and trust.....welcome aboard. How are those front shox doing???
