Well guys my time as owner of #422 is over, Ben the new owner has not long left.
I'd just like to say a Big thanks all you lot as it's added to the ownership experience! Thanks for the help and advice over my year and a bit of ownership. It would have been nice to put faces to these names and I...
Maybe but it's too late now having taken the deposit.
I'll be sad to see it go when the new owner comes to collect it in a couple of weeks. Although I can say I have owned one of the finest hot hatches ever! I've wanted one since they were released. :grimacing:
Pictures of defects mentioned above plus 2 stone chips I've just noticed on the drivers door. :rage:
There are stone chips and other marks on the car and these are to be expected on are on this age and mileage.
The dents are hard to capture on my phone but the bonnet is dented just right of...
With much regret I've decided to sell #422 however it is time to move on.
• MOT due August 2017
• Current Mileage 95,500
• 3 Previous Owners
• HPI Clear
• 2 keys
• Front Sach Dampers refurbished by BG Motorsport in April 2016
• New Rear Sachs Dampers fitted in April 2016
• Cooksport Springs...
Yeah, I thought I might upset the lifers but it can't be helped. :tearsofjoy:
I don't regret buying the Trophy though. I may however regret not doing the weekender. :unamused:
I'll get an advert drafted up and see what happens so fingers crossed.
Yeah I was thinking a fixed price of £5500 similar to what Chris did would be on the money.
I've sold the Mini SD and I'm due to collect a 208 Gti 30th anniversary next week. I'm hoping it's a baby Megane.
Sadly and with some regret I think my time as owner of #422 is nearing the end. I love the car and have spent a lot on it but I just don't get to drive it the way it was intended often enough.:pensive:
Now I'm not sure how to price it. It is on 95,500 miles and I am the 4th owner. Mechanically...
I went to view #422 at the Angel of the North 220 miles round trip and wait 2 weeks before making the 230mile round trip to collect it. The 2 week delay was due to the V5 and a plate transfer but it was worth it for the days I get to exploit the T to the max.

MarcR sent me this link for injectors when I needed a new one, I could have got 4 for the price I paid for replacing just the one. :sleepy:
I'm a little sad reading this but we could see it was coming. I know how you feel as I've been thinking along similar lines of late.
Good luck and hopefully it finds a new home soon.
Yeah the walk helped straighten me out! :grimacing:
I'm finding it hard to get comfortable on these longer drives. I'm not sure if the lower seat base would do or not. :worried:
I need to try and get another trip sorted before the summer.
Yeah, it wasn't a nice way for it to end for him. He just had the timing belt and Haldex serviced this week. Fingers crossed it is just the sump as he can fix it himself.
I had intended to do a U turn but we ended up walking to the pub. I did move it closer though before our refreshments.
Well our drive today didn't quite go to plan. :worried: We only managed about half our loop, the a93 to Battater as the incident happened a few miles into the a939 stage. My pals TT came off 2nd best after it landed hard going over a large bump in the road, suspected cracked sump.
Apart...
:smirk: I could only wait so long for you! Sorry. :kissingheart:
If things workout I'll be going on another road trip, this time around the Cairngorms on Saturday.
Yeah I was a bit gutted when I got home.
It has moved quite a bit on the way home as it is a 30min drive, most of it motorway.
I'm happy though as the brakes don't squeal anymore and I can go out do a 5mile loop and enjoy every aspect of the car.
Although I do have a whistling noise...
Progress Update.
#422 was at SWR today for an oil and filter change, new engine and gearbox mounts, steering wheel swap, new calipers and RS192 fitted.
New calipers.
RS192. Oh no melted trim. :tearsofjoy: An excuse to go carbon I guess
Cable ties to the rescue for now until it...
