The braces are usually fitted to the top and insides of the towers hence strengthening the front end between the turrets. Thing is with this kind of thing, the forces always go to the next weakest point. This is very noticable on mk1s with sunroofs. Stiffen the susp up and the roof starts...
As above really. Iv had ds2500s fitted to most of my williamses, I find the cold performance is as good as or if not better, but when a bit of heat is in them they are superb. Countless trackdays at Donny, oulton, spa, never had a bit of fade. The t will be getting them also soon, the current...
I run 195s but in 15 inch fitment. Pretty much transformed the car from a crashy uninspiring drive to a well rounded, confidence inspiring drive. But then I went from no namers on the 16s to pe2s on the 15s
Hi Jim welcome to the site. Mine has a sticker on the boot already, not sure where from as it was already fitted when I bought it. I think it's been bought through the site??
I'm not far from Hx myself but the other way towards Burnley
Well last week was the dreaded mot date. I refitted the cat and new lambda sensor ready for the emissions test, and threw the good o/s/f damper in the boot so my mate could fit it before the mot. The damper that was on was soft and made a horrible knocking nois over any bumps it was ridden...
Can't the cat d label be removed by a trip to an sva test station? This proves the repair work is up to standard of original quality. May be a route to go down.
Well this is it exactly. Would be great to compare all the diff size variations etc. But unless you get them all on the same car back to back it'd be a bit of a pointless excercise really. As above we all have diff views on how we like the car to handle, so even direct comparison can be...
Well, after a couple of weeks and a few hundred miles, what can I say? The ride is so much better on the 15s and decent rubber. My confidence in the car has grown immensely. It's not as trashy over the rougher roads, turns in sharper, grips better, has a nice amount of body roll, not too much...
Like you say mate, those who have had the chance to compare the pe2/3s directly, all seem to say the 2 is the better tyre. Without comparing myself, I can't really comment, but I do know just how good the pe2s are, having them fitted to my cars for the last 7/8 year's or so. Although I do...
Was more to do with cost tbh mate. For the 205s I might as well have stuck with the 16s, not sure the turn in would have been as direct, but like I say that would be another comparison to test lol. Going from other people's opinions, most use the 195 s when dropping down to 15s also. But then...
They are 195/50s mate. I found them to have a slightly sharper turn in compared to the 185/55s on the Williams. Bit made the ride a little stiffer, the higher sidewalls of the 185s absorbing more of the bumps. Yes they are 15 x7s. They are the palmersport versions, not entirely sure what the...
well, according to online calcs...too many beers after the poor england showing at mo....there is a rolling circ diff of 45 mm, and a static radius diff of 8mm
tbf i dont think theres much diff in overall height from 1 to the other, if the wheels are put side by side stood up. as they would be...
pe2s on 15s are what im used to mate. lol.. had michelins since the hx's wore out on the williams. pilot exalto, then pe2's. the ride is far comfier than the 16s, not really had a chance to point them down any decent roads yet, massive flooding all around here yesterday means the roads...
they cant look much worse than the wheels that are on at the mo tbh mate lol. they are in desperate need of a refurb. (the turinis that is) i think these are about as close as you can get in 15s to the turinis though arent they??
less that £600 all in for all wheels/tyres too, cheaper than a...
woohoo ...they are on their way.....had the tyres since fri.... hopefully the rims will be here tomorrow...as for cheapest place...i got offered a good deal by yb racing....but a friend has beaten their quote by a few quid. .. that was mates rates tho ;)
ah well maybe not then lol...but sub 150 a corner for wheel and tyre ...was thinking the pe3s were about the 120 a corner, and the original wheels could do with a refurb, so i guess with the refurb, and tyre...im well below what itd cost to get them up to a decent std on decent tyres.
