It's a good question isn't it. I guess it would depend on whether you'd declare them and inform of the amount paid for them. I'm sure if it wasn't a van full of them you could likely sail through customs just fine.
I love how this place still has a draw for folks even when their Trophy’s have gone to pastures new. I maintain it’s still one of the best car forums out there! Great to see you sticking around Dave.😀👍
Just another note on this duty/customs invoicing business from TNT or as they are now; FedEx Express...
There were no details on how to actually settle the invoice sent with the invoice, so I had for some time this morning, to go round the houses with both FedEx and TNT to try and find a way to...
Well the weekend's here and as usual, I've been looking through some stuff, seeing what I can let go to other homes and I have decided to offer up a nice copy of EVO issue #83. It's the renowned 1st Trophy test issue from September 2005, which is becoming pretty rare to find these days (...
The problem with these sorts of jobs, and the estimates that go with them is, it's very easy for things to escalate. Fettling around at the underside will potentially lead to the discovery of other areas which need attention, and whilst one thing is being done it starts to make sense to also...
That is a jazzy colour Nick, not for me that kind of hue I'm afraid. Though I did once look at a Lotus Exige in that sort of green, I was much younger then though... ;)
Now provisionally SOLD.
As noted above. I do have more, if you have any requests just drop me a PM and I can see what I can find in the "library"... :D
One I'd forgotten about! It's been hiding under a pile of books for a couple of weeks, another EVO magazine available from my collections.
This one is Issue #200 from October 2014 and features an extensive series of articles as the EVO staff of the time determine their favourite top 20 'EVO'...
Just my twopenneth on the Panda 100HP, I personally think you'd find this monumentally underwhelming and unaccomplished compared to the Trophy.
I had one for an 'extended' test drive back when they were new after reading several enthusiastic articles in the usual magazine, however, after an...
I do like seeing old(ish) standard stuff like that in good condition and still serving a purpose. We do the same with our little workhorse Clio 1.2, it's 17 this year, gets used pretty hard, but we also look after it pretty well mechanically, so bless it, it keeps on going. We might get another...
I've done some quick reading up and it seems there's a threshold of £135, above which duty is applied. So just ordering the splitter should see you below that, it was perhaps me being greedy with the addition of the other goodies which has been my downfall. Something I'll bear in mind if...
Just a wee word of caution on ordering these from Oreca, today I've received a import duty/customs clearance invoice from FedEx. So that's an extra £36 to pay on top of my original order, glad I ordered when there was the 15% discount on the site.
I'm going to query the import duty invoice, but...
I think we've been here before Francis, the problem with reproducing the OEM rear exhaust boxes to be a fairly exact replica, because of their original construction process (large pressed sections) is it could potentially be quite a labour intensive task - which in turn would make them very...
I know the feeling on the rain front Andy, much of my work these days involves building/restoring things outdoors, I had to give up when it got down to -2º and blizzarding yesterday on the project I was on and generally the awful weather for the last few months is holding me up on stuff, which I...
