So I can’t get rid of this annoying stop/oil light.
How likely is it that it’s electrical over a real oil pressure drop? Can an oil pump ever be intermittent or are they go/no-go kind of things?
I’d hate to be doing the engine damage if it is oil starving but it’s kind of ruining the enjoyment...
So I thought a change in pressure sensor would fix this but it still remains an intermittent fault.
Could it now be the oil system itself? Are these cars picky as to what oil is used (if that is even a thing)?
Another silly question I'm afraid (can you tell I have more room/time to work on the car?).
Engine bay fasteners, most of them are looking decidedly ropey/corroded and I think it would lift the bay immensely to swap them out for new ones. From the standard hex heads, the torx ones and even the...
Just swapping over to an aftermarket induction kit for a bit of fun.
What's the trick to removing the lower air pipe that runs down behind and below the battery/headlight?
I've tried a bit of force but don't want to break it as it's in perfect condition and I think these are difficult to come by'
So now of the opinion that the misfire reported by diagnostics on injector 4 is indeed a misfire on number 4.
If diagnostics show injector misfire, is it definitely this or could it be leads/plugs/anything else?
Should I change the injector anyway? How easy is this and how are they numbered...
I thought Christmas was nearly over but fired up #384 today and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. The engine light came on and a couple of others. Quick diagnostic told me two error codes, misfire on no. 4 and injector fault on no.4.
The lumpiness went as it warmed until it was nearly...
Hi All,
Looking for a Trophy, will pay up to £7k for right mileage and quality.
Must be as unaltered as far as possible, no remaps, aftermarket dampers etc. although I appreciate exhaust, brakes and other bits and bobs will probably be changed due to wear and age.
Thanks for reading :-)
