Id buy the cheapest one. Or the one with the RS2.
But i buy on mechanical condition & ability to take abuse on track, not whether i can make it look pretty with 15 layers of polish.
Gutted for you!! Just cancel the claim & fix it yourself, really doesnt look that bad at all!!
Remember the garage will need to use brand new parts from Renault, which bump the price up, you wont have to ...
If you've gone through the insurance they will write that off lol.
Just buy another 1*2 for a grand, swop the bits over and flog the rest.
Will end up costing you nothing after you make profit selling all the other bits off!!
Now on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-55-RENAULT-CLIO-RENAULT-SPORT-TROPHY-182-BUILD-NUMBER-351-DAMAGED-/350744624158?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item51aa023c1e
Minimal damage by the looks of things!
Yup, i did like the idea of them, but as you say, was very much put off by their cheapness, they do have a reputation for being rather budget (except on ClioSport of course). I have however used their stuff before on other cars and always found it a little hard tbh. Changing from PSX to Bilstein...
Exactly lol. Had two people look at it now and both moaned about the scratched front bumper, despite wanting to use it as a TRACKCAR. Its less than £3k and mechanically fine, but yet people want mintness lol.
As said, happy to sell this Trophy as a 'racebase' for trackuse, minus Recaros, Turinis, ARB, spoiler, etc etc. Hell you can take it without the suspension for all i care, just pm me and work out a price.
For example - no turinis or Recaros = less than £2k for a '55 182 with spaffy suspension...
For reference, i will also remove the Trendline/Turinis if you are simply look for a car to use as a 'trackcar build'.
You'd obviously need to bring your own seats/wheels.
I think you missed my point entirely, but nevermind.
Whatever the people on this forum now say about declaring your previous accident to your new insurers, you have posted it on the internet, for the world to know about. So if you dont declare it, you bin your Trophy & the insurer come on here...
