    Clio Trophy For Sale

I have, partly because I bought a house a few years ago so couldn't change, but a lot of the reason is because I've become a bit too attached to it.

    Clio Trophy For Sale

I am selling my Clio trophy, #083. It was registered Seeptember 2005 and I have owned it since September 2007. It's got a full service history, the bulk of which has been completed at Birchdown. The Cambelt was changed September 2010, the auxilliary belt September 2013 and the dampers...

    Anyone keeping their trophy indefinately?

I keep looking at changing and looking at the mini cooper S to benefit from lower running costs, but I know I won't look at it and smile and then drive it and smile even more in the same way I do with the trophy. With buying a house and then likely getting a pay cut I'll be sticking with the...

    Capsicum red colour fade

My doors handles definately seem to be fading slowly to pink, despite all the waxes and sealants I've had on since owning it. Is it possible that the damage can be done early on but not show for a few more years, I only picked up the trophy when it was 2 years old and judging by some of the...

You lot really need to join Cliosport!

I got banned from there, apprarently it was offensive me posting my opinions on their thread full of people boasting about their criminal convictions, some of them for vehicle crime too. Oh well, I've always preferred this forum anyway.

Do you wave at other ClioSport drivers?

Quite a few Renaultsports around me so I don't bother, especially as most seem to look the sort that wouldn't have a clue that there werre forums for car geeks out there. Trophy owners are a different matter though, much more likely to get a wave back, and as I hardly ever see one it's still a...

    Exhaust recommendations please!

I've got the supersport, it's definately louder than the standard system, but not too intrusive once you get used to it, I;'ve done a few motorway miles the last 6 weeks and it hasn't bothered me once. I did think it was a bit loud the first few weeks for day to day use and that I should have...

Removing Flies From Nose Of T.

The best bet for flies is prevention, a decent layer of wax will help prevent them bonding to the paint and etching in if you get them off quickly enough. Once they've made home on your bonnet I find snow foaming before washing the car helps loosen them, and if they're really stubborn Chemical...

    Dealers For Cambelt Services

I've just had the full 5 year service for mine done at Birchdown just outside Malpas. £630 for the service including fitting brake discs supplied by me and Renault pads supplied by them, and resealing the exhaust the cat to centre pipe join an my exhaust to get it through the lambda test on the...

    Cleaning My Tips

Autosol for me, then in between proper scrubs with it I use either brasso wadding or mr sheen metal wipes depending on how dirty it 's got.

How many people use their T properly?

Mine hasn't been tracked but it gets plenty of random drives. Living about 25 mins from the evo triangle and other North Wales roads that are even better I don't have to go far for a bit of fun. It hasn't had quite so many fun drives recently, but I realised I've had it 3 years tomorrow so...

    loudest exhaust for the T?

Yozzasport's site was www.yozzasport.co.uk. It's been down for a couple of weeks though and they didn't respond to my order for brake discs or any of the emails I sent chasing an update. I now can't get an email through to them so I'm not sure if it's just a problem with their ISP or that...

    Cam/aux belt and service.

Mine's in Birchdown now having the cambelt done, their prices are reasonable so even after paying fuel it might work out cheaper than some garages getting it done, and they do plenty of 182 cambelts so should know what their doing.

    warranty claim

Is that the proper Renault extended warranty ? Maybe I should have gone for it, I'm pretty sure both my dampers are beginning to need a refurb, they don't seem to have lost gas but there is some leakage and I haven't got the confidence in it I used to have.

    007 (sadly) for sale

A good purchase I'm sure, good to see it back in a forum user's hands. It certainly seems to have been well loved by it's first two owners who frequented here.

    Gear Knob / Insert Replacement?

It's the 5 speed slanted I've got, I think in the aluminium colour. It's also not too bad at freezing the hand in the middle of winter, definately bearable without gloves. I had a 206 gti before the trophy and that gear knob was a nightmare in winter with the cold or summer with the heat, it...

    Gear Knob / Insert Replacement?

I just took a hacksaw to it, and an hour or so later and with only two cuts to my fingers the old gearknob was gone. I'm still finding very small pieces of plastic in the carpet though, I should have thought ahead and put some newspaper down to catch the mess. What I've found quite good with...

    Gear Knob / Insert Replacement?

I've got the richbrook one too because the original was so scratched on the top. If I'd have known you could just buy the inserts I'd have possibly gone for that, although knowing what some of Renault prices are like I'm sure they like to make a healthy profit on them. The richbrook is...

    Again Number 14

Which button are you actually pressing. By you saying you press the button on starting it shows you the oil level and then the odo, I think you're pressing the wrong button. The button to scroll through the trip computer screens is at the end of the wiper stalk, have you tried pressing this ...

    Renault Sport Mats

I think mine were around £50 with the Vat. I'm not impressed with the quality for that price though. I've only done about 12000 miles since having them, and probably only had the mats in the car for about 2/3 of those miles and I've already gone through the heel pad (and I mainly drive in...

    Echo Arena Liverpool

Ta, it was me. I did see yours parked opposite when I got back to my car and was half expecting the owner to be on a forum somewhere with having a rentech sticker. My mates didn't seem to understand my excitement at seeing another trophy. It's the KTR Ultra-Performance exhaust on it.

Interesting Tyre Review - this month's EVO

I've got T1-Rs on the front at the moment and are in need of changing. My personal view on them is they're pretty poor. In the wet and dry they don't seem to have the sharp turn in of the michelins, and they certainly don't have the feel. The other downside I've found is that they haven't...

Interesting Tyre Review - this month's EVO

I've not tried them, but the T1Rs on the front of mine are just about done. As I'm on a pretty tight budget at the moment I might give them a go, I was going to try the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx but at £68 a tyre the uniroyals are definately worth a try.

This months EVO and harry metcalfes trophy...

Are northwest performance good ? I need to get mine done somewhere in North Wales / North West. It's been to Birchdown before and I've had no problems but if I could save money going to North west performance I'd definately take it there.

How far are you willing to travel. Birchdown are very good, they are just outside Whitchurch. Northwest Performance in Northwich have also got a good rep on the renaultsport forum.

    WEBUYANYCAR.COM

It does explain a lot them being part of carcraft. Carcraft offered my dad £10 for a car once, granted it was old and high mileage, but it's a bit insulting offering a price like that, they'd be better apologising and saying they wouldn't be able to take the car in p/x. Some of the prices...
