2003 172 Spark PLugs

Hi guys, service time and wanted to know what spark plugs to use for the service? What are the standard ones and can you recommend ay upgrades and if its worth actually getting these?

not sure if the 182 are the same as the 172 ones, if they are then the oem ones are actually one of the highlights in the engine bay - stay with the original ones.

The service book says to change the spark plugs around 75k miles, ive only done 55k, would anyone recommend changing them before the recommended time?

no, you'll get the stated amount out of them no problem.

Well my first set lasted till 70k then they were changed but my last set broke down on 109k, when they should have lasted much longer

Stick with the std plugs, in fact Renaultsport only reccomend the std plugs, i tried super 4s instead and it ran with an intermissant missfire, put the genuine plugs in and fixed it, get them from www.sparkplugs.co.uk (http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk) though as through Renault you wont get any change from £65 quid
