;)
I do think the finger print and slight marking to one rim you mention and are evident in the pics may also have to be taken into account, if I was in the market for a (nother) set, I'd want them in perfect order if I'm honest.
With regards to pricing, it's one of those with a number of variables (condition, age of the tyres, powder coated or painted like original, even down to colour of the refurb these days - people can be picky) and of course also very much dependent on demand.
I know how much I've paid for nicely...
@OFORBES Would these be yours on FB marketplace?

Interesting. Personally never known my 1*2’s to display any kind of flat spot, cold or otherwise. The F4R in its next incarnation in the 197, definitely had an issue with this, and it affects some 200’s too by all accounts, but I have a sneaking suspicion that’s down to folk putting shite fuel...
Well, during my recent re-organisation of storage units, I've realised that I've built up quite a surplus of brand new oils, and other fluids. So was going to offer some up here for sale at some reasonable prices for forum members. But then I started reading up on actually posting them, which...
Yes, the 'black set' are in much better shape, which makes me wonder why I'm messing about with this set. It was the challenge I think, to make these good again...
I think by the time I've wire brushed them they'll be getting somewhere, I was then going to treat them with Bill Hamber Deox-C...
Dug out the dampers to remind myself where I'd got to with them.
Getting down to the bare metal now rather than the crusty rust! Plenty of treatments to perform yet, then I have to decide on what colour to finish them in... :D
The dampers are still a work in progress, I got as far as grinding all the rusty bits off, but then became distracted with some other things, so I need to pick up and continue with them. Might drag them back out this evening.
My advice to you re: spring platforms would be to carefully remove...
A bit of a thread resurrection folks, in related news to my damper resto - which I've been pretty rubbish on updating here it has to be said. Whilst moving some things from one of the storage units to another yesterday I found a box...
What have we here?
A set of original Trophy springs...
On it’s 9th year this time (2nd visit for us), it’s at Blyton Park in Lincolnshire - owned by Ginetta these days.
It’s a great little airfield based track with various layouts to try. For example the morning session this year was on the fastest version with a couple of decent straights, with...
Well, those are very kind words Francis! 😀👍
I reckon the Mk1 forum Blyton event is one which you’d love in your own wee Mini. A real highlight in our calendar now!
Not a Clio today I'm afraid, but it appears I'm attempting my best Chris Harris impression at the wheel of Tweed yesterday at the annual Mk1 Mini Blyton Track event...
Another brilliant day out! Full write up of these activities coming soon, in the usual place.
There’s something about this tatty old thing that I’m oddly drawn to, but in no shape or form is this a £5k car no matter how deep your pockets. The owner is sadly dreaming if they think that. I’d say they’d be doing well to sell it for £1k tops.
Glad to hear it! A relief I’m sure, and I know the feeling. Mine did this once and like yours seemed to miraculously fix itself after being left alone after I can’t remember whether it was some kind coaxing words or a bout of some choice anglo-Saxon!
Anyway, I didn’t dare contribute to the...
I'm personally not a fan of Autodoc after an experience with them swapping out ordered parts for their (lower quality but the same price??) "alternatives".
Wouldn't use them at all now myself after that kind of nonsense.
